When I first walked into a gallery as a young artist in Montréal, I was struck by something I couldn’t immediately name. It wasn’t the art — though the art was extraordinary. It was the invisible architecture of who belonged there, who had the right to acquire, to commission, to define what had value. The gallery, for all its white-wall neutrality, was a deeply political space.

That memory sits at the heart of everything we are building with BitBrowze and with our founding editorial partner, Façinations/Musée-Crosdale. This issue’s cover work — I.C.U. by Douglas Crosdale — captures something profound: an eye peering through a keyhole, half-obscured, alert. It is the feeling of standing outside, watching in. It is also the feeling of being watched.

In the Web3 era, that dynamic has reversed. The chain is transparent. The patron is visible. The artist retains royalties across every resale. The DAO votes on what gets shown. The keyhole cuts both ways.

This issue documents the Façinations platform at a pivotal moment — a full-stack Web3 art economy that has unified DeFi finance, fine art collection, charitable patronage, and institutional exhibition into a single coherent protocol. We are proud to be its editorial record.
